The overall aim of the BIOFIT project is to facilitate the introduction of bioenergy retrofitting in the following five industry sectors: first–generation biofuels, pulp and paper, fossil refineries, fossil firing power and combined heat and power plants.
On 25th September the project will held a workshop within its 3rd project meeting, to be hosted by CERTH and Hellenic Petroleum in Thessaloniki. The main goal is to present some Greek industries that started using biomass and/or bioenergy in their industrial processes. BAMBOO’s partner Grecian Magnesite will attend the workshop on behalf of the project to strengthen relations and sharing fruitful experiences.
